A board certified neurologist since 1984, serving Brevard County for 19 years, Dr. Gold has given special focus to the treatment of patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Having an aunt die, following several difficult years of disability, Dr. Gold has a personal interest in treating MS patients. Dr. Gold values the mission of the MS Centers of Florida Foundation as an opportunity to assist the MS patient face the many challenges of the disease. The MS Centers Network of physicians provides a unique opportunity to engage in clinical research for MS. Born in Irvington, New Jersey, Dr. Gold graduated from the University Of Miami School Of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He completed his internship at Salem Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts and his Neurology residency at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina where he held the position of Chief Resident.
Dr. Gold served as the President of the Epilepsy Foundation of Florida from 1990 - 1995. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Florida Medical Association, Brevard County Medical Association, Florida Society of Neurology, American Academy of Neurology, National Stroke Association, American Heart Association, American Headache Society, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Dr. Gold and his wife, Genie, of 23 years, have 3 sons, Joshua, Brian and Marc. He enjoys traveling, sports and computers.
