Michele Ofner, M.D.
Board Eligible, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

 
 

Dr. Michele Ofner specializes in a wide variety of neurological disorders. Her interest is in general neurology with a focus on epilepsy and peripheral neuropathy. Dr. Ofner completed her undergraduate work at the University of California Irvine. She continued with medical school at Albany Medical College. Dr. Ofner completed her internship and residency in adult neurology at the University of South Florida. Her desire to specialize in neurology is rooted in the knowledge that the nervous system allows us to feel emotion and interpret the world around us. The other systems of the body, heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, etc., are designed to support the nervous system. In recent years there has been a great increase in our knowledge and ability to treat neurological diseases and it is an exciting time for Neurology.

Dr. Ofner enjoys many activities including swimming, beachcombing, painting and family activities. Married for over 20 years, she enjoys raising her two children.


Stacy Pauley-Smith, P.A.-C.

 
 

As a certified physician assistant, Stacy is excited about her work with Dr. Shafer at the MS Center of Vero Beach. “Bringing this specialty of service to patients is very fulfilling,” Stacy explains, “we are part of the most up-to-date treatment and research available.” Stacy began her higher education at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee, obtaining an Associate Science degree in biology in 1998 and continuing at Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree as a Physician Assistant in 2001.

Married for 2 years, Stacy and her husband enjoy watching their infant son Evan grow and also enjoy boating and the outdoors.
