Marilou Singson, ARNP

 
 

As a nurse practitioner, Marilou shares her approach to patient care, “I have always believed that increasing awareness and education of an illness assists in health promotion, future treatments and even cure.” Her approach will be utilized throughout her work with the MS Center of Miami. Born in the Philippines, Marilou obtained her Bachelors Degree in Nursing at Aquinas University. She continued her education with a Masters Degree in Nursing from Barry University in Miami. Marilou is proud of her 20 years at Miami’s Mercy Hospital. Her nursing experience includes orthopedics, neurology, intensive and cardiac care, outpatient surgery and nuclear cardiology. Marilou enjoys raising her two sons and her hobbies include music, piano and photography.


Heather Bailey, PT

 
 

As Physical Therapist with the MS Center of Miami, Heather screens the rehabilitation needs of patients and recommends inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation. Her assessment identifies specific disciplines including speech, occupational or physical therapies. Heather will also follow patients monthly to evaluate their neurological, musculoskeletal and functional status.


Adriana Gonzalez, RN

 
 

As registered nurse at MS Center of Miami, Adriana will be responsible for the administration of infusion therapy agents and assist in patient education associated with Multiple Sclerosis.


Mary-Lynne Rodriguez, LCSW

 
 

As the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Mary-Lynne will conduct assessments for the patients at the MS Center of Miami. She will determine how patients are coping with the diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis, assess family support, referral to community agencies as needed, and lead support groups for those interested.


Rene Rocha, Ph.D. Clinical Psychologist

 
 

A licensed psychologist since 1979 Dr. Rocha has served in Florida for over 15 years. Born in Havana, Cuba, he has lived in the United States since 1960. He obtained both his B.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Carolina, and completed his Clinical Internship at Harvard University. Following his Doctorate, Dr. Rocha studied Psychoanalysis for five years obtaining his Certificate in 1980. He obtained his Diplomate in Clinical Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology in 1981 and was elected a Fellow in the Academy of Clinical Psychology in 1994. Dr. Rocha has served in the Board of Community Agencies as well as in the New York State Board of Psychology and the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Dr. Rocha has been an active consultant at Mercy Hospital for the past ten years. He has extensive experience in the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Unit where he has worked with MS patients and their families providing psychological evaluation and treatment.
