The Social Services staff at the MS Centers of Florida Foundation strives toward our mission through direct, case management intervention. A patient diagnosed with MS can call 1 866 4 MS CURE and reach a professional social service coordinator. Our social service coordinators will make a case assessment, and begin to make the steps to solve the crisis, provide education or give psychosocial support. MSCFF Social Service Resource Center can help MS patients in a variety of ways:

  • Referrals to statewide and local services providing services such as home health care, cooling equipment, assistive devices
  • Educating and assisting patients with state and federal programs such as Social Security Disability and Medicaid.
  • Health insurance advocacy and counseling
  • Links to all available community supports groups
  • Education on symptoms of the disease, treatments options, medication side effects, rehabilitative options etc.
  • Financial counseling on how to avoid medical debt for those with a chronic condition
  • Guidance on employee rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act; COBRA, FMLA, HIPPA
  • Emotional, supportive listening ear

The professional staff at the MSCFF works cooperatively with other organization having a similar mission and goal. Together, we help those with chronic medical conditions, navigate the critical issues they are faced with on a regular basis.
