The Social Services staff at the MS Centers of Florida Foundation strives toward our mission through direct, case management intervention. A patient diagnosed with MS can call 1 866 4 MS CURE and reach a professional social service coordinator. Our social service coordinators will make a case assessment, and begin to make the steps to solve the crisis, provide education or give psychosocial support. MSCFF Social Service Resource Center can help MS patients in a variety of ways:

Referrals to statewide and local services providing services such as home health care, cooling equipment, assistive devices

Educating and assisting patients with state and federal programs such as Social Security Disability and Medicaid.

Health insurance advocacy and counseling

Links to all available community supports groups

Education on symptoms of the disease, treatments options, medication side effects, rehabilitative options etc.

Financial counseling on how to avoid medical debt for those with a chronic condition

Guidance on employee rights under the Americans with Disabilities Act; COBRA, FMLA, HIPPA

Emotional, supportive listening ear

The professional staff at the MSCFF works cooperatively with other organization having a similar mission and goal. Together, we help those with chronic medical conditions, navigate the critical issues they are faced with on a regular basis.
